Profile: Our client is an importer and distributor of specialized foods sold to bakeries and pastry shops and is looking for a bilingual Sales Manager, from the industry to both manage a small team and manage some key accounts.
Territory: Province of Quebec (local to Montreal) and Eastern Ontario
Workplace: Work from home (local to Montreal)
Products/Services: Food products sold to bakeries and pastry shops
Salary: Base $80,000-$95,000
Commissions/Bonus: 20% on base
Car allowance: $/km
Expense’s reimbursement: All reasonable expenses reimbursed

Development vs Maintenance: 50% vs 50%
Road vs Office: 50% vs 50%
Languages: French and English (bilingualism)
Education: College degree or equivalent experience
Training: On the job training but preference for candidates with experience in the industry
Overnight Travel: Up to 20% overnight travel
Years of experience: At least 5 years experience needed
Other requirements: Your role will be that of a player/coach; managing a small team of reps and managing the relationships with our major accounts.
Transferable contacts: Experience selling to bakeries and pastry shops and smaller independent retailers
Transferable Knowledge: Knowledge of sales territory planning is a MUST

Functions:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and market share growth targets.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a sales team to deliver high performance.
- Set and monitor sales objectives, quotas, and KPIs for the team.
- Conduct regular sales meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations.
- Serve as the primary contact for major accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, including pastry shops, bakeries, and other foodservice providers.
- Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and introducing new products to existing accounts.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements with key clients.
