Our client is a manufacturer and distributor of locks and access controls. They are looking for a Territory Manager who will be responsible for selling to locksmiths, end users, resellers and other distributors. The Montreal-based sales rep will be responsible for managing an existing customer base, upselling and new business development.
 
Territory: Quebec + Maritimes (mostly greater Montreal)
Workplace: Home office (Montreal-based)
Products/Services: Security locks such as commercial and industrial locks, metal hardware, vehicle protection hardware, military applications, etc. and access controls
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000
Commissions/Bonus:
  • $30,000-$40,000 at 100% of plan(made up of monthly, quarterly and annual comm+bonus)
  • Uncapped commissions
Car allowance: Company vehicle supplied + gas card 
Expense’s reimbursement: Fully re-imbursed expense account

Functions:
  • Meet and bond with existing customer base
  • Understand their businesses and challenges
  • Establish a business plan to grow
  • Identify places to add value
  • Identify shortfalls and provide a strategy to overcome them
  • Provide training on our products to partners' and distributors' team members
  • Organize new product launches
  • Produce and follow up on quotes and leads
  • Produce reports  to track your customer base and its growth
  • Provide activity reports
  • Participate in tradeshows

Requirements:

Development vs Maintenance: 10% development vs 90% maintenance
Road vs Office: 60% vs 40%
Languages: French (mandatory) / English (mandatory)
Education: N/A
Training: Will be provided
Overnight Travel:
  • 1-2 nights / month 
  • 3-4 nights twice a year to visit Maritimes clients
Years of experience: 5+ related sales experience
Other requirements: Ability to sell a high-end product
Transferable contacts: Contacts within the security field (locksmiths) is a big asset
Transferable Knowledge:
  • Salesforce CRM is an asset
