Job Description:

Sirius Personnel is a Placement and Headhunting Agency that Specializes in Sales and Marketing Professionals in Montreal.

Profile: Our client is a distributor of electronic wiring, cabling and accessories used by a variety of industries. We sell to other smaller distributors, OEMs etc. We are looking for an Account manager who will be responsible for calling on a customer base and generating new business with new clients. You will concentrate your time on upselling and cross selling to these accounts. You are methodical in your sales ability and will be able to sustain activities of up to 7-8 sales calls per day. You are equally disciplined enough to update your CRM daily. The person we seek wants to learn, has had a successful track record, is disciplined and has the energy necessary to succeed with us.

Territory: Province of Quebec & Maritimes

Work Place: Home based

Products/Services: Electronic wiring, cabling and accessories

Salary: $50,000-$60,000

Commissions/Bonus: $20,000, no cap on commissions

Car allowance: Km reimbursement

Expenses reimbursement: All reasonable expenses reimbursed

  • Manage the business assigned to you in  your territory
  • Maintain a high level of activities (7-8 sales call) daily
  • Propose new products to existing clients
  • Create a target list of new prospects
  • Utilize top down selling to penetrate accounts
  • Develop a plan to actively pursue prospects
  • Schedule appointments with key decision makers
  • Maintain open communication with your manager on your pursuits
  • Build long-term relationships with clients
  • Maintain up to date records in CRM by inputting daily

Job Requirements:


Development vs Maintenance: 25% vs 75%

Road vs Office: 80% vs 20%

Languages: French and English

Education: College degree or comparable experience

Training: On the job training provided

Overnight Travel: Less than 20% overnight

Years’ of experience:2-3 years of experience needed
