Job Description:

Sirius Personnel is a Placement and Headhunting Agency that Specializes in Sales and Marketing Professionals in Montreal.

Profile: Our client produces shows and projects that are presented across North America and is looking for a strategic partnership director who will be integral in finding and securing partners across different cities. You will create a strategy to promote the shows/projects, execute, find and sign on partners who will invest and become partners. You will be approaching some of the biggest brands in Canada and the US and will work in collaboration with ad agencies and different team members. You must come with an events background.

Territory: Canada & US

Work Place: Montreal

Products/Services: Event management industry

Salary: $100,000 to $125,000 base

Commissions/Bonus: Incentive plan to come

Car allowance: N/A

Expenses reimbursement: All reasonable expenses reimbursed

  • Create a strategic development plan with upper management
  • Identify and research perspective new clients/sponsors
  • Develop and maintain a list of your prospects
  • Follow up regularly and keep database up to date
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with ad agencies and sponsors
  • Develop and structure ideas
  • Negotiate with sponsors and partners
  • Work in collaboration with marketing agencies
  • Build B2B sponsorships
  • Analyze sponsorship activities across North America and make recommendations based on what you learn
  • Participate in networking events

Job Requirements:


Development vs Maintenance: 100% vs 0%

Road vs Office: 25% vs 75%

Languages: Full bilingualism needed

Education: University degree or equivalent experience needed

Training: On the job but must come from the industry

Overnight Travel: Less than 20% overnight travel required

Years’ of experience: At least 10 years relevant/industry experience needed

Other requirements:

  • Excellent written and spoken skills in both languages
  • Great time management skills needed
  • Experience selling to C level needed

Transferable contacts: Contacts with national/international brands would be an asset

Transferable Knowledge:

  • Event management knowledge  
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Strong business development skills needed
