Sirius Personnel is a Placement and Headhunting Agency that Specializes in Sales and Marketing Professionals in Montreal.

Profile: Our client makes and sells software that is sold to the event industry. We are looking for a dynamic business development individual who can make the right connections and develop a portfolio of clients globally. Ideally the individual we seek is strong in both business development and knows the event industry quite well.

Salary: Base $90,000

Commissions/Bonus: $25,000 at 100% of plan, ability to overachieve

Functions:

Functions:

  • Create target list of prospects, with the aide of company president
  • Create a strategic plan for your prospects
  • Call on prospects, negotiate and close contracts
  • Represent company at different industry events
  • Maintain up to date information on prospects in CRM
  • Segment customer profiles where we perform best
  • Prepare RFPs and contracts
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices and information
  • Build relationships with customers, decision makers and key influencers
  • Keep management up to date on progress.

Job Requirements:

Development vs Maintenance: 90% vs 10%

Road vs Office: 25% vs 75%

Languages: Excellent written and spoken English, French an asset

Education: University degree preferred

Training: On the job training provided

Overnight Travel: 25% or 1 week per month

Years’ of experience: 5 years in a b2b, IT environment or mobile services

Other requirements:

  • energetic
  • you have a proven track record of success in a b2b sales role of business development
  • well-connected in the market
  • ability to travel to the US and overseas (criminal background check required)
  • experience in the selling to associations, meetings or trade-show industries is a definite asset

Transferable contacts: contacts within the event industry will be favoured

Transferable Knowledge:

  • knowledge of selling software or mobile services industry is necessary
