Sirius Personnel is a Placement and Headhunting Agency that Specializes in Sales and Marketing Professionals in Montreal.

Our client sells complete and customized solutions (ranging from hardware to software) for the retail market. We are looking for a Key Account Manager (for 5 major banners in the retail and food market). This person understands the reality of the high-level retail market, has several years of experience in developing strategic accounts within the industry, knows how to recognize new opportunities in major accounts and has a successful track record in negotiating contract at the national level.

Territory: Montreal, Ontario and Maritimes

Work Place: Montreal

Products/Services: Point of sale (POS) hardware and software

Salary: Base $75,000 - $90,000

Commissions/Bonus: $50,000

Car allowance: $500/month + $0.12/km

Expenses reimbursement: All reasonable expenses reimbursed

• Development and growth of 5 major strategic accounts at the national level

• Work closely with several departments both internally and externally

• National contract negotiation with key players (C-level)

• Identify business opportunities and development of proposals

• Maintain key relationships

• Work with internal and technical resources to support your accounts

• Provide accurate monthly forecasts

• Build on success stories in a certain province and repeat them nationally to keep your accounts constantly growing

• Expand the revenue of each accounts and achieve the target of growth year over year

Job Requirements:

Development vs Maintenance: 30% vs 70%

Road vs Office: 60% vs 40%

Languages: French and English

Education: College degree or equivalent experience

Training: Training on the products and solutions but the person needs experience developing major accounts in the retail market

Overnight Travel: 2 to 5 nights a month

Years’ of experience: 8 to 10 years developing major accounts in the retail industry

Other requirements:

Transferable contacts: Experience selling to major accounts in the food industry will be highly considered

Transferable Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of POS systems is an asset
