Sirius Personnel is a Placement and Headhunting Agency that Specializes in Sales and Marketing Professionals in Montreal.

Profile: Our client is the manufacturer of food packaging equipment and also sells the consumables that go along with it. We are looking for a sales rep who wants to learn and grow with the company. The territory rep we seek knows the food manufacturing industry and how it works. You will take care of a small base of clients as well as hunt for new clients. Your role will be to grow your base year over year. You are able to sell value and thrives in a fast-paced, activity oriented role. You must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Territory: Quebec, Lanaudière, Lac St-jean, Trois-Rivières, Sherbrooke, Drummondville

Workplace: Quebec city

Products/Services: Packaging equipment and consumables

Salary: Base $50,000

Commissions/Bonus: 1st year $12,500, 2nd year and beyond $25,000 and more

Car allowance: $800/month + gas

Expenses reimbursement: All expenses reimbursed + corporate card

  • Call on clients within your customer base in an effort to up sell and cross sell
  • Call on competitive accounts to sell consumables
  • Maintain an up to date database of prospects and customers
  • Generate leads, qualify them and close them
  • Implicate company engineers when quoting on equipment
  • Perform cost-benefit analysis of existing and potential customers
  • Plan and conduct direct marketing activities
  • Coordinate sales efforts with other departments

Job Requirements:


Development vs Maintenance: 60% vs 40%

Road vs Office: 60% vs 40%

Languages: French and English (written and spoken)

Education:College degree or equivalent experience needed

Training: Full and complete training program provided

Overnight Travel: 1 week every 3 months

Years’ of experience:5-7 years experience needed

Other requirements:

  • Attendance at trade shows from time to time internationally and in the US
  • Ability to sell into both long and short sales cycles

Transferable contacts: Contacts within the food production industry is an asset

Transferable Knowledge:

  • Strong computer skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office and CRM
