Sirius Personnel is a Placement and Headhunting Agency that Specializes in Sales and Marketing Professionals in Montreal.

Profile: Our client is a distributor of heavy equipment located on the south shore of Montreal, and is looking for a Director of Recruitment that will be responsible for recruiting across Canada. The recruitment director that we seek is used to using all tools available online and other wise to seek out top talent and engage them in conversations about our organization. You will manage a team of recruiters, coach them, set KPIs and manage results. You will ensure that there is consistency in how everyone works and you will lead by example. You will work hand in hand with the other directors within the company and will be proactive in seeking talent. This is a growing company and a fast-paced environment and needs someone who is highly organized but also a "doer".

Territory: Canada

Products/Services: Heavy equipment

Salary: $130,000-$150,000

Commissions/Bonus:$25,000.00 per year

  • Ensure that recruitment process is optimized and being well-used
  • Set priorities for positions to be hired
  • Understand roles and subtleties with hiring managers
  • Create strategies to attract top-talent, evaluate and change, if need be
  •  Ensure that our CRM is being used consistently and correctly
  • Conduct weekly team meetings
  • Motivate team members
  • Propose methods and tools for staff development
  • Propose ways to increase our employer brand

Development vs Maintenance: N/A

Road vs Office: 0% vs 100%

Languages: French and English

Education: Bachelor's degree

Training: On the job training needed

Overnight Travel:   3 to 4 days per month of travel

Years’ of experience: 5 years experience needed in recruiting, ideally in heavy equipment

  • Structured
  • Has experience recruiting sales positions
  • Strong personality (in the good sense)
  • Has experience in an SMB
