Job Description:

Sirius Personnel is a Placement and Headhunting Agency that Specializes in Sales and Marketing Professionals in Montreal.

Profile: We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager who is currently seeking a unique challenge to spearhead and develop the Canadian and US territory. The entrepreneurial candidate will be tasked with the grass-roots formation of our North American office here in Montreal, hiring, leading and developing the sales team. This role will lead the charge in maximizing growth opportunities for new and existing clients, setting and excelling both team and personal targets. You will be responsible for your own personal targets as well as team targets. Please provide your resume in English.

  • Hit the ground running by proactively and strategically targeting potential business
  • Structure your objectives by firstly setting individual sales targets and subsequently the targets of your team
  • Communicate recruitment needs, supported by growth targets and workload
  • Articulate candidate requirements, liaising with our in-house recruiter but taking charge of the recruitment process and finding local solutions/agencies which could assist (NB: the successful candidate will need to be sufficiently analytical to forecast hiring needs)
  • Hire, train an mentor team members to inculcate a sales mindset, commercial skills, assessing performance via annual reviews and 1 on 1's
  • Define and implement appropriate sales strategies to meet demand
  • Work closely with other teams to increase visibility in particular PR content and translation teams

Job Requirements:


Development vs Maintenance: 90% vs 10%

Road vs Office: 10% vs 90%

Languages: English and French

Education:College degree or equivalent experience needed

Training:On the job training

Overnight Travel: Very little overnight travel required

Years’ of experience: At least 2 years managing, coaching and mentoring sales people

Other requirements:  

  • Entrepreneurial with instinctive business acumen
  • Effective time management, able to correct as you go
  • Not afraid to experiment with new ideas but able to quickly assess whether to move forward or change direction

  • Experience with CRM applications, ideally Salesforce
