Sirius Personnel is a Placement and Headhunting Agency that Specializes in Sales and Marketing Professionals in Montreal. (

Profile: We are looking for a unique individual who can sell project-based services. You will be selling interior construction services to a vertical sector. This requires someone with a keen sense of business development, strategic planning and project management. You will be responsible for business development all the way through to closing. The ideal candidate has formal sales training, possesses a Bachelor's degree and has had success with long sales cycles. This person is excellent in relationship building long-term.

Territory: Mostly Montreal and some Quebec  

Workplace: Montreal

Products/Services: Construction services

Salary: Base $80,000

Commissions/Bonus: $120,000 at 100% of plan

Car allowance: Company car

Expenses reimbursement: All reasonable expenses reimbursed

  • Prospect via cold calls, social selling, telemarketing and networking
  • Negotiate and close sales
  • Develop a funnel of prospects
  • Conduct face to face visits with clients which will include discovery calls and needs analysis
  • Implicate internal resources, as need be
  • Present quotes and proposals
  • Follow up and actively negotiate terms and conditions
  • Work and collaborate with inside sales to prepare drawings, contracts and proposals
  • Actively participate in marketing meetings
  • Attends and participates in sales meetings
  • Suggest sales process improvements
  • Capture and update client information CRM

Job Requirements:


Development vs Maintenance: 100% vs 20%

Road vs Office: 50% vs 50%

Languages: French and English

Education: Bachelor's degree

Training: On the job training  

Overnight Travel: Very little overnight travel required

Years’ of experience: At least 2 years experience in a similar role

Other requirements:

  • Able to handle details but not overly
  • Strong prospection and networking skills in relevant markets

Transferable contacts: N/A

Transferable Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of either solution selling or SPIN selling is a must
  • Knowledge of either commercial furniture sales or design sales is a big asset
  • Basic understanding of drafting or CAD is an asset
