Job Description:

Sirius Personnel is a Placement and Headhunting Agency that Specializes in Sales and Marketing Professionals in Montreal.

Profile: Our client is a manufacturer of home products. They are looking for a major account manager to manage some of their largest retailers who are based in the United States and has large online presence. You will be charged with the smooth running of the account daily. The account to manage is largely online and needs an account manager who has experience managing this kind of retailer. Your role will be to organize, plan and control all day to day for this customer. You will also have a couple more smaller retailers to manage in addition to this one. There will also be an international part of the role where, if you spoke Spanish, it would an asset.

Territory: United States

Workplace: Montreal or Toronto

Products/Services: Home products

Salary: $60,000-$90,000

Commissions/Bonus: Up to 20% annual bonus

Car allowance: N/A

Expenses reimbursement: All reasonable expenses reimbursed

  • Develop core strategies to manage account then execute with direct supervisor
  • Prepare quotes, presentations and business reviews to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Be the eyes of ears for the client, internally
  • Ensure the smooth running of accounts assigned to you
  • Look for opportunities to upsell and cross sell other products
  • Maintain great relationships with the different product managers
  • Keep planograms up to date
  • Provide detailed quotes to customers

Job Requirements:


Development vs Maintenance: 20% vs 80%

Road vs Office: 20% vs 80%

Languages: Excellent written and spoken English, Spanish an asset

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Training: On the job training provided but must come from the industry

Overnight Travel: Less than 10%

Years’ of experience: At least 2 years in a similar role

Other requirements: Experience managing a key account is necessary

Transferable contacts: N/A

Transferable Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Able to manage a P&L
