Our client offers a wide range of services related to transportation and logistics. Whether it is standard transport, import / export services, courier service or logistics, they know how to meet all the needs in terms of standards and quality of transport. They are looking to fill a position of Business development manager who will learn and master the field of freight forwarding and supply chain management. You will work in an open territory in Quebec and you will be responsible for developing the business. You have a sales DNA and you are looking to advance your career? We have a client who wants to invest in sales training for junior candidates motivated towards performance!

Territory: Laval, North Shore

Work Place: Montreal  

Products/Services: Transport and logistic services  

Salary: $70,000-$80,000

Commissions/Bonus: $30,000$ but uncapped commission plan

Car allowance: $500/month + $350/month gas card  

Expenses reimbursement: All reasonable expenses reimbursed

  • Meet assigned  company activity KPIs  
  • Set up a call schedule for your assigned clients and prospects
  • Attendance at customer meetings that have been planned for you by the internal sales team
  • Analyze the customer base (currents & prospects) and target highest potential opportunities
  • Review monthly results / business plans and discuss sales strategies with Executive Sales Team;
  • Manage appointments and activities through the use of our CRM
  • Develop and maintain your sales pipeline
  • Ensure the development of your own prospects
  • Meet your Sales Director on a weekly basis in an effort to advance your opportunities
  • Identify product gaps in the customer's current purchasing habits and create business plans to capitalize on opportunities and ultimately achieve sales goals
  • Develop a sales plan for your territory
  • Maintain strong relationships with your clients and prospects
  • Meet and exceed sales targets  

Job Requirements:

Development vs Maintenance: 80% vs 20%

Road vs Office: 80% vs 20%

Languages: French and English

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred and college degree is a must

Training: Full training will be provided

Overnight Travel: If required

Years’ of experience: 4 years experience in business development on the road selling services

Other requirements:
