Job Description:

Sirius Personnel is a Placement and Headhunting Agency that Specializes in Sales and Marketing Professionals in Montreal.

Profile: Our client is known for being one of Canada's biggest suppliers of aftermarket equipment parts and service, serving sectors like construction, mining and forestry. They are looking to add a new business sales representative to their team to develop the mining sector primarily in Quebec but also in Ontario. We are looking for someone who has a proven track record in sales, someone who has experience selling heavy equipment or aftermarket parts to construction but more importantly in the mining industry .   If you have contacts within the mining industry and have sold equipment or parts this is the position for you. This newly created position within a growing, reputable company is yours to make into your own. You will have the ability to scope out and prospect mining companies and determine a game plan, with the help of head office.

Territory: Province of Quebec and Ontario

Work Place: Home or Office

Products/Services: Heavy equipment aftermarket parts

Salary:$60,000 depending on years of experience

Commissions/Bonus: $40,000 (uncapped)

Car allowance: 850$ per month + gas card

Expenses reimbursement: All reasonable expenses will be reimbursed

  • Develop a network of potential clients in the mining and construction industry within your territory
  • Conduct detailed market analysis to identify prospects  
  • Identify and meet with decision makers
  • Follow up on sales leads

  • Build long-term relationships with clients
  • Collaborate with different departments to ensure timely delivery of products
  • Build and present proposals

Job Requirements:


Development vs Maintenance: 100% vs 0%

Road vs Office: 50% vs 50%

Languages: Bilingual

Education: Post secondary education

Training: On the job training, however, you must have experience selling heavy equipment or aftermarket parts within the mining industry

Overnight Travel: About 25% overnight travel.

Years’ of experience: Minimum of 5 years experience selling heavy equipment or aftermarket parts to the mining industry

Other requirements:

  • You must be a great communicator
  • You are able to create long lasting relationships with customers
  • You are a self starter
  • You have shown success acquiring new accounts

Transferable contacts: Contacts within the Mining industry

Transferable Knowledge: Knowledge of heavy equipment sales or aftermarket parts sold to industrial sectors like construction but more importantly mining.
