Profile:   We are looking for a creative and determined Sales & Marketing Coordinator, passionate about the cosmetics industry, for our client, a distributor of “avant-garde” cosmetics. This position consists of a split of 50% Inside Sales and 50% Marketing Coordinator. It will recommend and encourage sales of quality and innovative cosmetics, to signature spas and salons. The candidate must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, working with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects, and closing existing and new customer sales. This position also consists of developing and creating marketing and advertising strategies, assisting in concept planning and the execution of social media advertising, build strategies and promotes new product initiatives and launches, and ensures all aspects of conferences and/or trade-show events are well-planned and run smoothly. You are creative, pro-active, tech-savvy, an autonomous bilingual marketing professional, and sales-driven.

Salary: $55,000 (base)

Commissions/Bonus: $5,000

Expense’s reimbursement: All reasonable business expenses will be covered

Responsibilities Inside Sales:

  • Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly sales strategies to achieve desired corporate sales objectives
  • Encourage sales in a manner that ensures quality and effective customer service
  • Promote, sell, and secure orders from prospective / customers through a relationship-based approach
  • Demonstrates clear and effective product knowledge to potential customers and assists them in promoting the professional brand they chose
  • Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships to generate new and maintain current customer business
  • Full use of Computer, Internet, and Internal and online Software’s on a daily basis as trained
  • Follow up on Leads and Customer contacts
  • Enter all description notes of activities such as calls and orders
  • Complete accurate and timely paperwork and reports for Head Office / Manager
  • Once a week/biweekly client visit

Responsibilities Marketing coordinator:

  • Assist Management and members with day-to-day Marketing tasks, coordinating projects and activities as required
  • Strategic Planning by continuous analysis, collecting, and monitoring of trends current and future in the cosmetics and the esthetics business, determine organizations readiness and goal, create a strategy to accomplish and exceed corporate goals
  • Ensure all aspects of a conference and/or trade show event are well-planned and run smoothly
  • Develop Business and product initiatives to cultivate, maintain and increase customer business building by satisfying customer demand
  • Support marketing campaigns through various avenues such as e-mail blasts/mail chimp/social media and website
  • Build strategies, and promotion of New Product launch
  • Social Media -working in collaboration with Social media manager on forums, create advertising and information content
  • Translation of marketing material, from English to French
  • Corporate image: Ensure the corporate image is maintained across the various national and international partners.

Job Requirements:


Development vs Marketing (%): 50% vs 50%

Road vs Office (%): 10% vs 90%

Languages: perfectly bilingual in English and French (pre-requisite)

Education: Post-secondary diploma in marketing or any related field is a must

Training: on-the-job training but you must have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role

Overnight Travel: 10% of the time for tradeshows

Years of experience: 3 years in sales and/or marketing

Other requirements:

  • Excellent written and oral skills are a must in both French and English
  • A positive attitude is a must   
  • Experience in the cosmetics & beauty industry is an asset
  • You have a valid drivers’ license

Transferable Knowledge:

  • Dexterity with computer software / tools (Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Photoshop, Quick Books and MailChimp, Google Ad, Google Analytics, E-commerce, Adobe InDesign)
  • Digital Marketing strategy and knowledge of social media marketing (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.)  
  • You must be able to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.
