Job Description:

Sirius Personnel is a Placement and Headhunting Agency that Specializes in Sales and Marketing Professionals in Montreal. (

Profile: Our client is a manufacturer of high end faucets sold to wholesalers, contractors, specialized boutiques and architects and designers. We are looking for a market development rep to sell into wholesalers, plumbing and A&D clientele. Your goal is to get our products adopted, specified and used when builders are making those kinds of decisions. You will be tasked with following the different projects to ensure that when our products are specified, they are used and all the kinks worked out. You remain close to your clients and are a source of information to them.

Territory: Montreal and surroundings

Workplace: Work from home

Products/Services: High end faucets

Salary: $55,000-$70,000

Commissions/Bonus: $15,000-$35,000

Car allowance:$0.44/km

Expense’s reimbursement: All travel expenses reimbursed

  • Meet company-set KPIs such client visits, follow-ups etc
  • Plan regular visits to clients and prospects
  • Promote and showcase our products to clientele
  • Increase our specification rate with both plumbers and A&D firms
  • Once specified, follow products closely
  • Act as a resource internally for clientele
  • Meet with wholesalers and go on joint sales calls
  • Remain available to answer questions and work with internally resources
  • Grow sales revenue within base of customers
  • Give training, on a as needed basis, on our products
  • Communicate with sales management res sales calls and outcomes

Job Requirements:

Development vs Maintenance: 50% vs 50%

Road vs Office: 75% vs 25%

Languages: French and functional English

Education: College degree or equivalent experience

Training: On the job training but looking for someone who has sold to this market

Overnight Travel: No overnight travel required

Years of experience: 5 years b2b sales experience in a related industry required

Other requirements:

  • Available for your clients
  • Great follow up skills

Transferable contacts: Contacts within the plumbing industry is a big asset

Transferable Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of the inner workings of plumbing firms is an asset
  • Experience having represented to the A&D firms in and around Montreal is a huge asset
