Job Description:

Sirius Personnel is a Placement and Headhunting Agency that Specializes in Sales and Marketing Professionals in Montreal. (www.siriuspersonnel.com)

Profile: Our client sells information technology products and services which include legacy services, data center and cloud storage services. This is a newly created position for this major account rep and the person that we seek will be selling exclusively to the federal government. This includes agencies, schools, boards, commissions and universities. The candidate we seek is a hunter   and is strategic in going about expanding wallet share and working with standing offers within the federal system. Ideally you have sold technology and have a track record selling to the federal government. You must be able to pass a background check. Please provide your resume in English.

Territory: Ottawa and Gatineau area-Federal government which could include some accounts in the Maritimes

Workplace: Work from home

Products/Services: Information and management services

Salary: Base $100,000

Commissions/Bonus: $96,000, no cap on commissions

Car allowance: $525 per month + $/km

Expenses reimbursement: All reasonable expenses reimbursed

  • Evaluate the existing and future requirements of your client base
  • Develop and execute policies and strategies to penetrate accounts
  • Build customer relationships
  • Continuously prospects new clients within your territory
  • Maintain a consistent funnel of opportunities to maintain and surpass objectives
  • Partner with decision makers
  • Introduce new products and services in an effort to cross-sell
  • Develop account plans
  • Implicate specialists as need be
  • Work through negotiated RFP sales processes
  • Negotiate pricing and service level agreements
  • Provide continuous education to clients

Job Requirements:

Development vs Maintenance: 80% vs 20%

Road vs Office: 50% vs 50%

Languages: Excellent written and spoken English, French an asset

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience needed

Training: 6 week on boarding program provided

Overnight Travel: less than 20% overnight travel needed

Years’ of experience: At least 5 years in an equivalent position needed

Other requirements:

  • You have sold technology
  • You have sold to the federal government
  • Takes ownership of accounts and action

Transferable contacts: Contacts within the federal government needed

Transferable Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of working with the standing offer of the government
  • Strategic selling skills
