Profile: Our client; a 7-year old start-up , is about to embark on their Series C funding, is looking for a Head of Growth. This Head of Growth is the perfect intersection of sales and marketing and must be someone who comes from the start-up world. Your role will be to not just be to participate in growth, but lead it. We have built a web/telecom product that is widely used in Quebec and now needs to scale it across Canada. Your role will be to scale the company's growth. This is a unique opportunity to put your stamp on a growing company and bring it to the next level, while building a team.

Territory: Canada

Workplace: Combination of work from home and downtown office

Products/Services: Web/Telecom start-up services

Salary: Base $80,000-$100,000, depending on experience

Commissions/Bonus: Between $16,000-$20,000

Car allowance: N/A

Expense’s reimbursement: All reasonable expenses reimbursed

Functions:

  • Help find a path of growth that can be scaled
  • Establish strategy for Rest of Canada growth
  • Set company objectives with company founders
  • Determine channels of distribution
  • Measure those channels and optimize
  • Design repeatable processes based on data
  • Scale channels
  • Work with external marketing firm to determine which services can be brought in-house
  • Determine our hiring needs and build team accordingly
  • Determine budget and execute
  • Work with company co-founders on other initiatives

Job Requirements:

Development vs Maintenance: 80% vs 20%

Road vs Office:10% vs 90%

Languages: French & English

Education: University degree preferred

Training: On the job training but see requirements

Overnight Travel: To be determined but estimate is less than 10%

Years of experience:4-5 years in a growth market, preferably technology

Other requirements:

  • Must have at least from Seed to Series A financing experience
  • Must have fast-growing technology background

Transferable contacts: N/A

Transferable Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of financing from Seed to Series A is a must
  • Web/telecom experience is a must
  • Experience managing people is a must
