Job Description:

Sirius Personnel is a Placement and Headhunting Agency that Specializes in Sales and Marketing Professionals in Montreal. (

Profile: Our customer engineers, designs and manufactures acoustic panels that are used by schools, companies etc. We are looking for a sales rep who will be active in getting our products specified to the A&D community. The A&D rep that we seek is strong in building new business opportunities and developing them. You are active and passionate by design, you are sales oriented, able to work on long sales cycle projects and have solid relationships in the A&D community, do not hesitate to apply!  

Territory: Province of Quebec

Workplace: Home office and presence at the office 1 x week (Monday morning meeting)

Products/Services: Acoustic panels

Salary:$70,000 to $85,000

Commissions/Bonus: Bonus 1st year and year after commissions paid on % can go up to $20,000 per year

Car allowance: $0.53KM allowance

Expense’s reimbursement: All business expenses reimbursed

  • Canvassing and making contact with the A&D community and prospecting new customers;
  • Build relationships with current and potential customers through various
    sales techniques (virtual presentation, lunch and learn, etc.);
  • Plan presentations, demonstrations and proposals to clients;
  • Participate activities and trade shows
  • Make sure to identify good opportunities and continue to grow sales;
  • Inform customers on products and promote the products based on their needs by providing them with the necessary technical information;
  • Provide potential customers with product estimates;
  • Offer information and training service to customers;
  • Keep up to date with trends and specifications for different types of products;
  • Work in collaboration with other departments to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction;
  • Carry out after-sales follow-up;
  • All other related task
  • Use CRM to document your progress

Job Requirements:

Development vs Maintenance:   30% vs 70%

Road vs Office:75% vs 25%

Languages: French and English  

Education: College degree

Training: Structured training provided  

Overnight Travel: very little travel

Years of experience: minimum 5 years relevant experience in sales to the A&D community

Other requirements:

  • Consultative sales approach
  • Able to work on projects (schools, hotels, institutions etc)
  • At ease with long sales cycles
  • Knowledge in architecture or construction is an asset  
  • KPI oriented
  • Autonomous, structured and organized
  • Great time management skills
  • Great at problem solving

Transferable contacts: contacts in the A&D community is a plus

Transferable Knowledge:  

  • Able to conduct Lunch & Learn
  • At ease with a CRM, MS office particularly Excel and Power point
