Profile: Our client is a producer of forged steel and is looking for a territory manager who will be responsible for selling across different industry segments from the GTA. Your clients are manufacturers and you will focus on soliciting sales in a variety of manners. The products that you will sell include, custom forging, die steel and plastic mold steel. If you understand the steel industry, machining or specifications industry, this is an asset. We are looking for a strong relationship manager and a business builder to grow the business.

Territory: GTA

Workplace: Home office

Products/Services: Steel

Salary: Base : $75,000-$90,000

Commissions/Bonus: 15% of base, annual bonus  

Car allowance: Vehicle + gas card provided

Expense’s reimbursement: All reasonable expenses reimbursed

  • Solicits sales from OEM and current customers
  • Negotiate pricing
  • Makes presentations
  • Troubleshoots client issues
  • Develop specific pricing strategies for long-term relationships
  • Develop a strategic plan for your clients  
  • Complete weekly sales reports

Job Requirements:

Development vs Maintenance: 90% vs 10%

Road vs Office: 80% vs 20%

Languages: English, French an asset

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred

Training: On the job provided

Overnight Travel: 1 week per month

Years of experience: 3-5 years sales experience needed

Other requirements:

  • Able to forge and keep business relationships
  • Great communication skills
  • Strong business development skills
  • Strong negotiation skills

Transferable contacts: Windsor/Detroit "club" is an asset

Transferable Knowledge:

  • Windsor/Detroit industry contacts is a plus
  • Manufacturing/steel industry experience is a plus
  • Machining and forging operations experience preferred
