Profile: Our client sells fabrics and textiles and is looking for a bilingual Territory Manager who will be responsible for getting us specified, interacting with the architect and designer community, dealing with end users and selling to OEM's. The person we seek, has both an artistic and sales background and has dealt with our type of client base. You will be activity oriented, and you strive to sell our product for future placements. Functions:
- Contact both existing and potential clients
- Present our products to architects and designers to get specified
- Conduct lunch and learns
- Call on manufacturers within your territory
- Call on end users
- Prepare estimates, proposals and bids
- Product product samples to prospects and follow up on them
- Recommend products, based on customers' needs
- Sell products for future placements
- Prepare business cases for internal requests
Job Requirements:
Development vs Maintenance:
- 50% with architects and designers
- 20-30% with dealerships
- 20% with OEM's
- 10% with end users
Road vs Office: 50% vs 50%
Languages: French and English (fluent)
Education: College degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
Training: On the job training provided
Overnight Travel: Very little except for 1x/year sales meeting
Years of experience:3 years relevant industry experience needed
Other requirements:
- aesthetic background
- has promoted to A&D community
- experience writing a business plan
- strategic selling course would be an asset
Transferable contacts: contacts within the dealership clientele
Transferable Knowledge:
- knowledge of fabrics or textiles
- knowledge of selling to furniture manufacturing
- furniture and/or industrial design an asset
