Job Description:

Profile: Our client is a manufacturer of perishables goods looking for a Sales Manager who will have a dual role; that of managing a small team and managing their major accounts. The client wishes someone with experience with perishables goods sales, sales management experience and experience selling to large chain stores. You will work with senior management in strategy, sales, marketing, pricing and production. You must have experience negotiating with head offices across Canada.

Salary: $80,000-$125,000

  • Perform market analysis
  • Develop a market strategy

  • Negotiate multi-year contracts

  • Ensure order entry is done in a timely manner
  • Work in conjunction with other departments to ensure smooth customer service

Job Requirements:


Development vs Maintenance: 20% vs 80%

Languages: French and English

Education: Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience

Training: On the job training provided

Overnight Travel: Up to 20% travel needed

Years’ of experience: 5 to 10 years sales management in a relevant field needed

Transferable contacts: Experience selling to chain stores required

Transferable Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of sales cycles within large chain stores
