Our client is a well know publisher. This new position needs someone with innovative ideas, marketing savvy, sales acumen and strong team work. The marketing manager is responsible for coming up with innovative ideas to create new advertising revenue, selling these ideas internally and project managing them until successful execution. At present there are no direct reports but the possibility does exist in the future so some managerial experience would be an asset.


Develop strategies for creative and innovative sales initiatives resulting in new sources of revenues and achieving incremental revenue targets.
Elaborate action plans and timetables for follow-through of initiatives as well as leading and championing the intiatives from the beginning to conclusion.
Facilitate the communication between the various departments and key players in order to generate buy-in, excitement and passion around initiatives.
Keep up-to-date on competitive products and industry trends.

Job Requirements:

Academic * Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent relevant post-secondary education or experience.
Languages Bilingualism : Strong oral and written communications skills in both English and French.
Experience Five or more years of related marketing, business development and sales experience.
Proven track record in project management.
Experience in the media industry, preferably in magazine, newspaper and/or online applications, is an asset.
Managerial experience, a definite asset.
  High level of enthusiasm, energy and desire to win.
