Our client is a national player in the recycling of electronic goods. This is a growing industry as governments have concern over the growing increasing volumes of end of life materials. They are in need of a senior business development rep for the province of Quebec. This individual will spearhead the expansion of business with OEMs, work with environmental ministries, work with retailers and partner with private and institutional organizations.Your job will be to increase the volume at our recycling facility.


Understanding the uniqueness of the Quebec market in order to become a leading member and the face of the company within Quebec’s end-of-life electronics community
Actively promote that the company has the only world class processing and upgrading facility in Quebec to establish it with the dominant market position in Quebec
Responsible for customers that make electronics recycling and refurbishment decisions in Quebec. This would include stewardship programs, retailers, charities, OEMS and IC&I (institutional, commercial & industrial) accounts.
Work with colleagues in other regions to secure and support national and international accounts.
Find ways to leverage Quebec customers to expand nationally and internationally.
Understand the market dynamics in Quebec. Determine if there are opportunities to partner with or acquire recyclers and value added resellers that could expand our business.
Work with the various organizations within the Quebec stewardship community to monitor and find ways to benefit from changing trends. This includes the addition of new programs, addition of new product categories to existing programs, structural changes in programs that threaten our existing market share or provide opportunities to grow market share and to be the first choice partner for special events, roundups, trials and cleanup opportunities
As business develops, establish and manage a collections facility closer to the downtown Montreal area that would include a warehouse, added value services and a small logistics capability.
As the business grows further, establish a collections facility in the greater Quebec City area.

Job Requirements:

Academic Bachelor's degree preferred
Languages Bilingualism, both French & English (written & spoken)
Experience 10+ years of experience in a related services industry within Quebec, ideally as the key representative of a national/international company responsible for Quebec
  Proven leadership and management skills
Must be capable of interfacing at all levels of the organization
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced culture and deal with the pressures of a rapidly growing environment
Capable of accelerated personal development
