Our client is a Fortune 500 company with head offices in the U.S that provides both permanent and temporary employment services. The Montreal office is growing and they have created a new Sales Manager position to handle growth.


The Sales Manager is directly accountable to the Director of Sales and indirectly accountable to the Senior Operations Managers, East Region and the Professional & Technical division for meeting or exceeding financial sales targets se for the assigned region.
Act as a senior business consultant to the regional sales team gaining a thorough understanding of the customer's needs/business issues and selecting the appropriate solution to meet those needs. As such, the Sales Manager must possess a solid working knowledge of the complete range of service offerings and capabilities of the company in order to effectively cross-sell multiple service lines. The Sales Manager must also remain current with competitive trends, staffing/human resource issues and market conditions and their effect on business. Operating within company policy, the Sales Manager exercises discretion and independent judgment in making decisions. Successful business development will result in cost-effective, quality solutions for our customers, a positive work environment and fair pay for our temporary employees, and, most importantly, increased market share and profitability of the company.
Be responsible for building and maintaining mutually beneficial business relationships not only with decision makers and end users at current and prospective customers, but also with community leaders and representatives from relevant business associations.
Be responsible for setting sales targets with each branch and subsequently developing and sales team management to result in strong financial performance for the region across all the company service lines and divisions.
The position is to manage 3 to 5 sales reps but can grow in future years.

Job Requirements:

Academic Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or Marketing or equivalent
Languages Strong abilities in communication, verbal and written, in both French and English.
Experience Have a minimum of 3 years of proven experience in managing a sales team.
Have experience in the staffing or any service industry in a matrix environment.
  Demonstrated strong internal / external customer focus.
Demonstrated personal leadership.

Realistic COMMISSIONS in the 1st year would be 15% to 20% of base and 36% of base represents a stellar year. The client do not expect a stellar year before 1 to 2 years of performance.
