Our client is a well-established industrial components distributor. The Marketing Vice-President is responsible for the overall performance of Product Marketing for a given Business Unit with regards to sales, profit margin, inventory investments, quoting strategies, supplier relationships, and the ongoing development of the employees.Functions:
Responsible to set and achieve sales, profit margin and inventory budgets.
Build and maintain relationships with all suppliers at the appropriate levels. Negotiate new contracts as well as modifications on existing contracts. Target and sign new franchises.

Negotiate preferential pricing for the company on stocking devices.
Create and manage the execution of supplier sales development plans that include the field application engineering staff to design in focus supplier products at customer locations

Discuss and implement a strategy for quote qualification involving the Regional Quoting Team, Branch Sales staff and Product Marketing, and communicate to all members, Personally be involved in and review all large quote opportunities.

As appropriate, visit selected customers and suppliers, and participate in corporate office visits along with preparing and presenting information associated with the financial performance of the region from a sales, margin, inventory, and supplier perspective.
Handle all aspects of people management within the team. Conduct hiring interviews; provide performance management, coaching and mentoring and ensure employees have the proper training and development. Ensure all team members clearly understand the objectives and how to achieve them.

Job Requirements:
Academic | University education: Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline. *MBA is an asset. |
Languages | Bilingualism, both French & English (written & spoken) *Excellent written English required |
Experience | Minimum 5 years of relevant business experience in a leadership capacity with a proven track record. |
Results oriented. Excellent leadership skills – mentoring, motivating others, monitoring and facilitation. Effective communication skills. Strong negotiation skills. |
