Profile: Our client is a leading manufacturer of premium construction surfaces, providing high-quality materials for architectural, commercial, and residential projects. They are currently looking to hire an Account Manager to develop new business and manage existing client relationships. Territory: Montreal and surroundings
Workplace: Work from home, with most of the time spent on the road visiting clients.
Products/Services: High-end construction surfaces
Salary: Base $60 000
Commissions/Bonus: $50 000-$70 000 in commissions.
Car allowance: Company car provided & gas card

Functions:
  • Serve as the primary liaison for clients, fostering strong relationships, enhancing brand visibility, and driving mutually profitable sales.
  • Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to develop strategic market plans, including setting quarterly objectives for sales growth, client engagement, scheduled visits, event participation, and merchandising initiatives.
  • Conduct 4 to 5 client meetings and sales calls daily, including outreach to potential new business opportunities.
  • Maintain an up-to-date CRM system (Salesforce) by logging client interactions, tracking leads, recording project activity, managing quotes, and monitoring sample and display usage.
  • Oversee merchandising efforts in client showrooms, ensuring displays, samples, and promotional materials are properly stocked, installed, and refreshed to maximize visibility.
  • Deliver structured product presentations and educational sessions (Lunch & Learns).
  • Plan and coordinate industry-focused events, targeting Kitchen & Bath and design communities, to strengthen relationships and boost brand recognition.
  • Represent the company at local trade shows and professional events.
  • Develop deep technical expertise across all products to act as a knowledgeable resource and trusted advisor for clients and their networks, including fabricators.
  • Facilitate smooth collaboration between clients and distributors, ensuring efficient order processing and fulfillment.
Requirements:
Development vs Maintenance: 60% vs 40%
Road vs Office: 80% vs 20%
Languages: French and English
Education: Post secondary education 
Training: Training will be held in Toronto
Overnight Travel: N/A 
Years of experience: At least 2 years of sales experience in a related industry.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening and confident public speaking.
  • Self-motivated with a high sales aptitude, driven to achieve results and exceed targets.
  • Ability to assess situations strategically, identifying opportunities for growth and success.
  • Proficient in managing time effectively, balancing multiple priorities and client interactions. 
Transferable contacts: 
  • Existing relationships within the construction, design, architectural, or fabrication sectors are highly desirable.
Transferable Knowledge
  • Experience with Stone fabrication industry is a plus
