Profile: Our client is a healthcare marketing and communications company that helps healthcare brands get in front of doctors and medical professionals across Canada. They run targeted campaigns, deliver educational content and product samples, and ensure everything is done the right way in a highly regulated industry. Their clients include pharmaceutical companies, healthcare product manufacturers, government agencies, and medical journal publishers.
  
As this Business development representative role, your main focus is growth. You’ll prospect new clients, build strong relationships, meet people face-to-face, and show them how these campaigns can drive real results. You’ll also help coordinate materials and samples, keep contact information up to date, and track campaign performance.

Territory: Greater Montreal area
Work Place: Remote but must be local to the greater Montreal area
Products/Services: Marketing and communication services
Salary: 80,000$-120,000$
Commissions/Bonus: 10,000$-50,000$
Car allowance: KM reimbursed
Expenses reimbursement: All reasonable expenses are reimbursed

Functions:
  • Prepare and present our solutions
  • Meet or exceed sales targets
  • Build long-term relationships
  • Manage a defined client portfolio or territory covering multiple brands and therapeutic areas
  • Proactively reach out to new and existing contacts within pharmaceutical companies
  • Identify business opportunities by understanding client goals, product lifecycle stages, and recommending appropriate service solutions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals, pricing structures, timelines, and respond to RFPs
  • Follow up on active campaigns to ensure client satisfaction and explore upsell, cross-sell, or renewal opportunities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM (HubSpot)
  
Requirements:
  
Development vs Maintenance: 25% vs 75%
Road vs Office: 80% vs 20%
Languages: Bilingual
Education: Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, or equivalent of education and work experience selling into pharma companies
Training: Training will be provided by the employer
Overnight Travel: Little to none
Years’ of experience: 2-5  years in a similar role
Other requirements:
Excellent communication and negotiation skills (both verbal and written)
Proven experience selling into major Pharma companies
