Profile: Our client is a global manufacturer of capital equipment used in industrial applications and we are a looking for a hands-on General Manager located in the GTA to lead sales (60%) and operations (40%). You have a customer-focused approach, have leads sales team to grow, especially in a capital equipment/expenditure environment and have a solid understanding of financial management.

Territory: Canada
Workplace: GTA office -1 day work from home
Products/Services: Industrial capital equipment 
Salary: Base $150,000-$200,000
Commissions/Bonus: Between $50,000 and $100,000 annually
Car allowance: Vehicle + gas card provided (all car expenses paid)

Functions:
  • Develop and execute a national sales strategy aligned with global objectives
  • Grow revenue through key account management and new business development
  • Build relationships across manufacturing, logistics, retail, and related sectors
  • Lead, support, and coach the sales team and channel/integration partners
  • Ensure sales targets and margin goals are met or exceeded
  • Oversee daily business operations including project delivery, customer support, and supply coordination
  • Full P&L responsibility for the Canadian business unit
  • Create and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
  • Analyze performance metrics to identify growth opportunities and improve profitability
  • Ensure efficient resource allocation and cost control
  • Liaise with global teams on inventory, logistics, and strategic planning

  
Requirements:
Development vs Maintenance: 20% VS 80%
Road vs Office: 40% VS 60%
Languages: English (French an asset)
Education: Bachelor's degree highly favoured
Training: Training and onboarding provided
Overnight Travel: Up to 20% overnight travel
Years of experience: 8+ years of B2B industrial sales experience, including sales leadership. 
Other requirements:
  • Solid background in capital equipment or capital expenditure sales
  • Experience leading teams and managing both sales and operations
  • Strong financial acumen with direct experience managing P&L
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
