Profile: Our client, a leading distributor of consumer goods to depanneurs, pharmacies, and grocery stores, is looking for a field-based Sales & Merchandising Representative.
In this hunter-focused role, you will manage the Greater Montreal area, maintain relationships with existing clients, upsell products, secure new business, and handle merchandising duties, including delivery and installation.

Workplace: Field-based position – candidate must be local to Montreal, Laval, or surrounding areas.
Products/Services: Consumer goods
Salary: On-Target Earnings between $60,000 and $80 000
Commissions/Bonus: Earn uncapped commissions, with percentages that differ for sales from existing accounts versus new business development.
Car allowance: Company vehicle provided for business use only.
Expense’s reimbursement: All reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.

Development vs Maintenance: 80% vs 20%
Road vs Office: 90% vs 10%
Languages: Fluent in French and English (this role requires perfect bilingualism)
Education: High school diploma.
Training: On the job training provided
Overnight Travel: Occasional overnight stays required to support other territories, if necessary
Years of experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in sales or merchandising

- Listen and respond to the needs of both the company and its clients.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain strong business relationships.
- Maintain and clean product displays as needed.
- Focus primarily on sales and distribution to existing clients (approx. 80%), with some new business development (approx. 20%).
- Plan and organise your routes, manage visit frequency, and ensure diligent follow-up.
- Complete administrative tasks related to the role in a timely manner.

- Current driver’s license required
- Positive and goal-oriented, driven to achieve results
- Highly organized and able to work independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in cold calling is an asset
- Experience selling to retail is an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Great communications skills
