Profile: Our client is a leading provider of industrial water treatment solutions and is looking for a sales rep who has a strong knowledge of water treatment industry and has sold to industrial clients. The role is to sell into an existing customer base, grow that base and find and develop new clients. You have experience presenting to engineering firms to get us specified and strong at cross-selling our other products, particularly in the HVAC industry.

Territory: Province of Quebec
Workplace: Home office (local to Montreal
Products/Services: Industrial water treatment solutions
Salary: Base $80,000-$100,000
Commissions/Bonus: $40,000 (includes commissions on existing base + new clients)
Car allowance: $/km

Functions:
  • Find and connect with new clients in our target markets.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing clients through regular check-ins, upselling, cross-selling products from other divisions, and contract renewals.
  • Guide clients through complex sales processes with multiple decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to create tailored solutions that really solve client problems.
  • Show clients how your solutions make a real difference—both operationally and financially.

  
Requirements:
Development vs Maintenance: 40% vs 60%
Road vs Office: 50% vs 50%
Languages: Both spoken and written French and English needed
Education: DEC or equivalent experience
Training: On the job training
Overnight Travel: Less than 15% overnight travel
Years of experience: 3–5 years of B2B consultative sales experience
Other requirements: Knowledge of water treatment and has sold to industrial clients
Transferable contacts: Comfortable selling to senior executives and working with engineering consulting firms.
Transferable Knowledge:
  • Strong knowledge of water treatment.
  • Consultative sales experience (HVAC, filtration, chemicals, industrial products)
  • Experienced in consultative sales, CRM systems, and KPIs
