Profile: Our client, a leading organization in the premium pet food industry and is looking for a Territory Sales Manager with experience in consumer products goods.. The territory sales manager is responsible for selling to specialty pet food stores. Your role will be to grow your territory by being in your territory and front of clients on a regular basis. Your role is to plan your territory and work your plan while building solid relationships.

Territory: Montreal and surrounding and includes Abitibi
Workplace: Home office (local to Montreal)
Products/Services: Pet food
Salary: Base $73,000-$77,000
Commissions/Bonus: 20% on base, paid bi annually
Car allowance: $1,300/month + gas card
Expense’s reimbursement: All reasonable expenses reimbursed

Functions:
  • Own and execute the sales strategy for the assigned territory
  • Develop annual and quarterly business plans, including key account strategies
  • Prioritize efforts using an 80/20 approach, focusing on high-impact accounts
  • Manage territory activities within an approved budget
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners
  • Conduct regular in-person visits to support sell-through and customer engagement
  • Lead business reviews and identify opportunities to expand product placement and sales
  • Identify and open new accounts within the territory
  • Track and report sales activity through CRM and other tools


  
Requirements:
Development vs Maintenance: 20% vs 80%
Road vs Office: 80% vs 20%
Languages: French and English (written and spoken)
Education: Equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree Program in a relevant discipline
Training: Full training provided
Overnight Travel: About 25% to 30% overnight  travel within your local territory
Years of experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in a structured outside sales role (CPG preferred)
Other requirements:
  • Must be available and willing to be on the road 4 days/week
  • Strong in relationship building and be willing to occasionally entertain clients 
  • You need to be highly organized
  • Input of daily sales activities into the CRM is necessary
